Faith means Feeling the presence

Faith => Believing
Believing = Presence of something around and above you, an unseen force protecting you (God)
= Feeling the presence = Observing yourself = being present in the moment to observe.

The reward for the observer is to be able to feel the God factor within you first and then be able to appreciate the God factor in everything out in the worldly creation.

God factor is the unseen force within you. First step is to FEEL the presence. This opens up your extra-senses, clair senses that make you able to see, hear etc.

To know more about CLAIR SENSES see the link below

To FEEL the presence, one can do open eye meditation or meditations with eyes closed.
OPEN EYE MEDITATIONS help you see the presence of the extra-ordinary in the outside world.
CLOSED EYE MEDITATIONS help you see the presence within and around you, including above and below.

 'That which is above is the same as that which is below'. In meditation, try to visualise a ball of light above you. Watch it bring light within you and then let this light keep going below your body. Just observe. Do this everyday and see the miracle.

Read the source: http://www.themystica.com/mystica/articles/a/below_above.html (Sikhism does not approve of doing magic but approves of healing as Sikh gurus have performed miracles in healing.)

Macrocosmos is the same as microcosmos. The universe is the same as God, God is the same as man, man is the same as the cell, the cell is the same as the atom, the atom is the same as...and so on, ad infinitum."

when one reaches this ultimate peak of altered consciousness the miracles are no longer important, the extreme goal becomes the direct union with God.

Yes faith means you must feel the existence and presence. So this is very well defined here by you.
