Must continue meditation daily

No matter what others say about meditation, one can't understand the depth of it until one experiences it. Similarly you don't realise how lucky you are to experience that peace, connection and knowledge until you have lost it.

Trying to feel the vibrartion and achieve that natural rhythm of chanting waheguru with breath use to be everyday fun activity during my journey to and from work. It's an effort now. Why can't I feel the vibrartion on the top three chakra points?

The sensation is instead in the base of the spine and a bit in between the shoulder blades, on the spine. May be I shouldn't focus on 3rd eye, heart chakra or the 10th gate but instead wherever the sensation is. Next time I will try that. But what do I do about getting tired and sleepy. If I do it laying down, its much easier and more enjoyable as I feel the energy rushing through.

Moolmantra to open all chakras

I am so pleased with my new technique that I used this morning. I started saying Ek onkar and focused on the Seventh Chakra / Dasam Dwar. Then I moved my attention to the
3rd eye and said Satnam,
Karta purakh on throat,
Nirbhau Nirvair on Heart,
Akal Murat on Solar Plexus front side,
Ajuni on Secral front side,
Saibhang on Base
Then moved up towards the spine side of the chakra
Gurprasad jap on secral,
Aad Sach on Solar plexus,
jugad sach on Heart,
Hai Bhi Sach on Pineal Gland,
Nanak Hosi Bhi Sach
on the point on the head that is one hand back from the seventh chakra.

I did this continuously for 15 minutes and enjoyed every bit of it from the first moment and no thoughts came in my mind. There was no time for thoughts an the focus was changing continuously but I enjoyed while I felt the vibration of each chakra corresponding with the shabad / sound.

I will try this method again to calm all thoughts. More interestingly I payed attention to each word in the mantra and realised how each word i said actually was mentioning the properties of that chakra and how God is different from the one that comes in the cycle of life and death. For example, I said Ajuni on the Sacrel chakra, the chakra representative of the birth cycle, Aad Sach on Solar Plexus, the centre of personal power and authority, Nirbhao Nirvair on heart, the centre which allows love and fear to prevail.

Guru Angad Dev ji on meditation -p. 139

Akhi Bajo Vekna, Vin Kanna Sunana
Seeing without eyes, Hearing without the need for ears

Jebhe Bajo Bolana, eyon Jenat Marna

Speak without using tongue, This way Die while staying alive.

Nanak Hukam Pachan ke, Tao Khasme Miln
a.
Understand God's Will, Then Meet Husband Lord.

While in deep meditation, when you have your eyes closed, you are not listening to worldly noises and are not saying anything with your tongue, and you are as still as a dead person. At this time you will See, Hear and Speak. At this time you will understand God's Will and meet God. May be at this point, you are not on the physical plane but connected with other planes.

Guru Nanak suggests you stop trying. There is no need for breathing this way or that. Just be one with the self. The moments when you are dead to the worldly disturbances, you truly live. In those moments God / Divine shares his Will with you. In those moments you can ask any question and you will see and/or hear the answer. You will be revealed all there is to know, only if you ask the Divine when you are one with it.

Meditate on neutral space

Nityanada explained Energy, love, bliss and intelligence are one and the same thing.
Source: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZq6wK06tT8

When Consciousness is expressed through
your Head, its Intelligence
Your Heart, its Love
Your Being, its Energy
When it is there without moving, it is Bliss.
If you have intelligence without energy, its curse and dangerous.

I must be searching for bliss and in desperation I cry.

"Sit straight and inhale slowly and deeply
for 10 minutes, consciously drop your identity. You can't neutralise because you are afraid of loosing our identity. So take a break from your identity.
For 5 minutes Witness only the incoming breath flooding energy and bringing life throughout your body, to every cell.
Now forget the incoming breath, for a few minutes only witness the outgoing breath.
Now be aware of the gap, the neutral space, when incoming breath turns into outgoing breath.
Now be aware of both gaps- breath turning from down to up (Incoming to outgoing) and up to down (outgoing to incoming breath).
Witness as breath turns,
be aware of both neutral spaces and completely relaxed,
feel clearly you are flooding with energy, understanding and intelligence, you are in eternal bliss."

I have been practicing this without knowing and couldn't explain to my siblings how to feel nothingness.

Comments on this video are another asset. The latest comment is as follows
"One of my Gurus told me that this is the same technique Buddha use to gain enlightenment.
When I concentrate on inhalation, I feel the energy from my breath collect in my forehead.
As I exhale, I feel the energy cascade down my spine to the root center. When concentrating on exhale, I feel the energy in the root center pulled up as my breath comes in to the heart center. As I exhale, I feel the intelligence express through my crown center. This is truly an amazing technique."

Lying to ourself, lost the truth

5 minutes - Think of how many times you have spoken a word knowing that you are not going to fulfill the promise.
5 min - visualise the spelling of this word
5 min - Feel the word
5 min - Let go of the feeling, just BE.

Transform yourself
Let life become free, liberated and a celebration.
Live with truth. Try to live the truth. Achieve and radiate.

Nityananda meaning Eternal Bliss. I like this meditation, yet would clarify that the path of yogi who goes to himalyas to meditate is not the approved Sikh way.

May you have intense experience with the God. You are pure consciousness and your life pure bliss.

Guru Gobind Singh's meditation technique taught to his wife

Looking at the tip of the nose
Breath in from the Navel
Hold
Bring the breath up to the Heart
Breath out of the 3rd eye

Meditation an adventure

I had never known meditation is an adventure as I do now.

I have been reading a book "Opening the third eye" and another one "The chakra handbook". I have also read "Kundalini .." . Although I found kundalini book difficult to understand because of yogic jargon as the book uses the names of the yoga-mudras that it does not explain but refer to another book, it is still useful to understand certain concepts.

I have had several precious experiences in the last few months. I can see the colour purple in the third eye. I can feel my etheric body between my hands.

If you read Guru Granth Sahib or do your nitnam, you will realise that the Guru is not asking you to read the scripture in a parrot fashion. Its actually giving you the same message again and again in different ways. That message is simple. Meditate. I understand that if you call yourself a sikh- do your nitnam but don't do meditation then you are wasting your time. Nitnam is actually telling you to meditate.

My meditation technique is simple.
10 Minutes of vocally reciting the word Vaheguru. You can divide the word and just repeat Vah then just repeat Guru.
Then the important part is to become quiet and concentrate on your breath going in- expand your chest and going out contract. Just observe.
When you normally get up and think you have done enough, just wait another few minutes and just observe. If thoughts came in to disturb your observation of the breath, start vocally repeating vaheguru again for a few minutes before becoming quiet.

Don't expect anything, just observe and you will have different experiences each day. I was very happy a few days ago when my heart chakra opened and I saw a triangle made from the rays from the third eye to the hear chakra. It was one of the most amazing experiences I had. It still doesn't beat the session when the colourless energy rushed in from above entering my seventh chakra (dasam dwar, 10th gate). Guru says again and again "Anhat shabad annant vaje" It has a very deep meaning. I am still waiting to hear the anhat shabad and the numerous musical instruments that you hear while in deep meditation.
