Human interactions, Karma / sacred contract, love and oneness

According to the book 'Sacred contract' we are destined to have interaction with certain people / souls in our life but what kind of interactions they would be is up to us to decide in this life. For me, this is life transforming. Based on this, I now believe that any negative interactions that we have with anyone, are a result of our choice that we have made now. Therefore, divorce is a choice issue, not a destiny. Yet when it comes to marriage, I am still not sure if its a choice or destiny. I am more inclined to believe that it is destined.

Where does that leave us with the issue of how many children a couple should have? My own experience tells me that each of my children came in my life at a certain time when I needed a certain kind of experience. Each of them have something unique to teach me. I am not their mother = the boss. I am here to learn certain lessons from these developed souls. At the same time, these souls needed to learn something from me. It's a mutually beneficial situation. We need to be aware that with negligence and with a little help from the ego; its easy to turn any of these relationships into negative interactions. This is where Gurbani lines like
'Na ko bairi nahi begana; sagal sang mohe ban ai'
'There are no enemies nor strangers; I am an ally of all.';  are very important. The way forward is to have friendly association with all, be aware and learn the lessons we came to learn in this lifetime. The more aware we are, the quicker we will learn our lessons and develop our souls. Therefore, lessor lifetimes we will need to reach our destination.

Now I would like to contradict myself. There is no destination as such, as far as God is concerned. Gurbani says
'Sahib mera neet nava' - God is forever new / progressive. A destination would mean stagnation. There is an ultimate motive for this creation but the plan keeps on expanding until when God decides to contract itself. At the moment we are in the expansion mode.

So what is the ultimate motive? I believe its to teach us that we are all one - Ek onkar. We are not in competition with one another, nor are we better or worse than each other. Each of us is a very important cog in the wheel. We are all serving a purpose. There is no need for us to judge each other. Each of us is trying to learn our lesson of LOVE and ONENESS. Love at the very least brings tolerance, followed by acceptance of others as they are and at highest level brings the feeling of compassion, gratitude and unconditional love for all.

So the purpose to find God is to sit in the heaven happily ever after? I don't believe in this fairy-tale anymore. I see God as a creator / a doer. God likes to create happiness, blissfulness by beautifying whatever is. The story of evolution will tell you that all species are developing into more sophisticated/ complex creatures as we progress. I believe God is happier to see us bring happiness and beauty in fellow travelers  lives. Meditation is important to keep our connection and communication with the formless to take directions and advice from the superconscious / the invisible / the guides and the spirits that also want to achieve in a certain direction but sometimes can't without a physical body's help. Since GOD IS ONE, we are all one; we are better placed if we work towards mutual benefit and not against each other. Therefore, its not of any use to criticize anyone but to show direction by doing the right thing ourselves as EGO doesn't let us see the other as right / better in any way. We must keep doing what seems right for all and look for ways to beautify someone's life / this world / Karam-bhoomi / a place where actions count.

From the above angle, every negative interaction that we have in life, is our mutual failure; not win for one and lose situation for the other. For when we die and reach the Dharamraj's darbar / the Court of Justice; there we are shown the movie of our own life but from the perspective of the other's feelings. Everytime you win in this life and someone else looses in the same deal, what eventually counts is the feeling left in the other person. You are accountable for making someone feel miserable. For that someone is no other but part of the same God, a part of yourself. The moment, the feeling of injustice comes; there comes the karma that sows the seed for the next interaction that must happen to give the two souls another chance to resolve the issue. Every interaction is an opportunity to resolve a previous issue/ ill feeling or feeling of attachment.

The other side of the story is about the times when others leave you feeling bad. Now comes the story of FORGIVENESS. The moment you truly forgive someone for a wrong doing, you release yourself from the interaction; for there is no need to get even, as far as you are concerned. Don't just forgive the other for his/her ignorance but also pray for the other to be given better understanding from the divine, so the wrong-doer can also understand the far-reaching consequences of negative interactions.

God is in no hurry for you or for anyone else to find the right path, as God leaves you to your free-will. At the end of the day, you have to choose to understand the creator, so you can work with HIM; understand the principles on which he has created this universe and to become one with his verse.

Until then, the game is merely your ego's fight against someone else's ego. Ego plays the game of Win-lose, more for me and less for you, I am right, you are wrong and I am better than others; the game of duality and separation.

Emotion is the switch to God and DNA healing

Sick people generally wonder why they are one to get a chronic illness. I have always believed that we choose our own diseases by virtue of the emotions we hold in our body. Happy and loving emotions bring good health and long life and negative mentions bring illness.

Gregg Braden has explained how this happens in his audio book 'Beyond point zero'. He says that emotions we hold in our body create pressure in the body that determines which DNA cells are activated. Since positive emotions have higher vibrational frequency, positive emotions unlock more complex DNA. To turn on all DNA codes we need to have pressure on maximum number of pressure points. Compassion, he believes, touches most vibrational push points.

Greg further explains the difference between Emotion, Feeling and Thought. He says that Thought is the guidance system, Emotion is the the power system that moves the patterns of energy within the body and together Thought and Emotion create Feeling. He says that there is unique chemistry to carry each emotion. So what emotions you carry? How it might be affecting your body and mind?

Following website claims, "The one mystical key to unlocking your full potential is your vibrational energy. Every thought, every emotion, every belief transmits a measurable vibrational frequency. Clarity vibrates at the highest frequency."

Greg says that heart is the transformer made of seven layers of liquid crystal that perceives and sends the signal to brain. This is a great explanation. Most people believe that its the brain that sends the message to the heart and then the heart feels. Greg is right in saying that its the heart that perceives before the brain takes charge of the situation. You might have seen in drastic situations that you feel the emotion first and then ask yourself to pull your head together to handle the situation. Greg says, "Logic must be tempered with wisdom from the heart."

Gregg fosters compassion and suggests 3 codes of blessing, the positive, the negative and the witness (yourself). He asks us to bless three types of people - one's that are suffering, for they created the feeling of compassion in you. Secondly, those who perpetrated the crimes of making others suffer, for they were a part of that act which created compassion in you. Even though you don't condone what they did as right, you must acknowledge that they played a part in that event that created the feeling of compassion. Greg says, "Don't respond in polarity. Bless that which hurt you deeply. Acknowledge them even though you don't understand at this point why this happened. This is a blessing as it helps us change how we feel about it, to allow us to move forward and become available to love." Thirdly, you must thank yourself, the witness, for witnessing this event. He says, "witness without judgement, feeling without distortion and emotion without charge ..."

Guru Nanak says 'Gobind Bhao Bhagat Ka Bhukha' God is hungry for Loving devotion. All his life Guru Nanak spread the message to not worry about the nitty gritty of Yoga practices etc, rather focus on loving God and his creation by meditating on his name, singing his praises and on sharing your honest earnings with the needy and by doing good work for the community as God resides within his creation as well as outside it.

Guru Nanak also asks us to not judge others as 'Na ko Moorakh, Na ko Syana' - nobody is clever and nobody is a fool. 'Jit Ko Laya Tit Hi Laga' each person is only engaged in whatever he/ she has been made to engage in.
Guru Nanak is considered the prophet of the heart for he believes that the heart is the central point that helps you meet God.

As they say, "Ask and it must be revealed". In one meditation session, I was desperate (Emotion) to meet God and see what Guru Nanak saw that made him utter the word 'WAHEGURU' - Indescribable teacher / master. In this session, Guru Nanak revealed himself and then showed me God himself in my third eye. Straight from the God's eye two rays reflected to my heart centre where a lotus blossomed. The feeling of emmence love that I felt during this experience lasted months. During this time, I couldn't see anyone as a bad person. I loved everyone trully from the heart, no matter if it was a stranger, a person I previously hated or the loved ones. I trully loved them all without judgement. That was all not by virtue of my goodness, but a result of a powerful meditation experience that generated this feeling. I use to the first person to judge others and was quite proud of this skill. I no longer judge people as good or bad. I accept that they are here to fulfil a purpose and if they have hurt me, then I have a lesson to learn. They have their own lessons to learn that I don't need to worry about. For a person like me who had extreme difficulty forgiving people, its so easy now because of the understanding of how it works and the positive consequesces of forgiving others for my own health and spiritual growth. I do get upset with people but soon as I realise what I am doing to myself, I consciously forgive people for their actions saying "only if they knew a better way to deal with the situation, they would." I also bless them and myself that may God give us understanding.

Three essential requirements in meditation

Guru Nanak says in Japji Sahib
Gaviye suniye man rakhiye bhao
Sing, listen and keep love in the heart.
Saying or singing his name - any name, He has many.
Listening to what you are saying for some time and then
listening without orally saying it. The vibration stays long after you have said it.
Feel love in the heart. Remember him from the heart, otherwise what you are doing is merely a physical and mental exercise not a spiritual practice.
The mental exercise is not successful either because
'Chupe chup na hovai je lai rahan liv Tar',
the mind can't stay quiet even when sitting in meditation pose. The thoughts come and go. The only way to stop those thoughts is to feel love in the heart.
What will happen then?
Gavai ko vehe hadra hadoor.
If someone sings his name in this way, he will
see God right then and there.
So its the feeling of love that God responds to. The singing and listening is to generate the feeling. So what are you doing when quiet in meditation? Feeling Love for God and the urge to see him. If you have other desires, hoping that you will be rewarded because you are sitting in meditation pose, nothing will happen. Even to get other rewards, you need to focus on one desire at a time. Feel how much you want it and pray while in meditation. Believe that true God has the power to give anything. If you have doubt that you are not worthy of it, it will not be given. Give yourself credit and believe that you are worthy of receiving what you are asking for and you shall receive.
Jo Mange Thakur Apne Te, Soi Soi Devai
Whatever you ask, He gives all that.

Heart energy verses brain energy- hurdles in meditation

Fact: Heart generates electrical energy 40-60 times more powerful than your brain.

Hurdles in meditation - Negativity/Fears

How can I let go the negativitis?
If you are upset with a relative/friend/enemy, forgive them otherwise that feeling will stop you from going ahead with meditational experiences.

How can I overcome fears?
Believe in a higher energy looking after you. Trust in that creator to do justice.

Also be afraid that if you don't forgive others, the justice system within you will stop you from entering the higher realms of reality, for the matter must be resolved and the chain linking you with that person must be broken to let you proceed. So let go of the negativity now as possessive love and hate are both chains, in fact part of the same chain. Its the brain that justifies your love and hate for someone.

Meditation technique

Meditation is less to do with the knowledge of techniques and more to do with the commitment.

Meditate without thoughts in your brain interrupting you. At the same time feel the heart expand with each inhalation, feel the love for the creator. Every time a thought enter the mind, start chanting and concentrate on listening to the sound/word. Feel your breath going in and out.

Expand your body with the inhalation of breath as much as you can and try to contract the body to the extent of a dot point with each exhalation. There will be no room for thought, only feeling the breath. Soon the breath will become shallow. Let the process takeover. Let go, don't control anything.
