Kundalini and Pranic energy combination (in Panjabi)

I found this in my old emails that I had sent. Useful info about combining Kundalini and Pranic energy.

Kundalini energy sap (Snake) di chaal  chadi hai te aag (Fire element and female emergy hai). Kundalini de ikdam gir ke 1st or 2nd chakra point tak aan karke gussa te hor vikara val khhich pendi hai. Kundalini jehre chakra point te tiki hundi hai, us chakra diyan tendencies insaan display karda hai. Kundalini di shakti nu dimag naal kabu nahi kita ja sakda.
Kundalini da achanak upar thale hona khatarnak hunda hai. Kundalini da jawaab Pranic energy hai. Pranic energy da tatv pani ( Water element and Male emergy hai). Chinese Qigong mediation wale is nu Heaven energy kahinde hai.
Gurbani vich Bagatan di bani vich paroge - Bin badal barkha hoi. Is vaak vich kise bhagat ne apne mediation de experience nu likiya hai.
Pranic energy dasam dwar (sir) ton ik hath di doori te ik badal di taran hai. Is nu khich ke dasam dwar to andar le ana hai. Yogi chandi di taar da example deke vi is nu darshaan di koshish karde hai. Jado tusi is energy naal connect hunde ho ta Sir (head) te halka pressure feel hunda hai. Is energy di chaal ik chharne (waterfall) di taran siddi hai. Jado kirpa hundi hai ta Barish hon da bhulekha hunda hai, fir chharna chal painda hai. Pani di speed nu tusi control nahi kar sakde. Jinni jyadi kirpa hoigi unni speed jyadi hoigi.
Mera khayal hai ke Kundalini Energy te Pranic energy de milan nu Ruhani Viyah kiha janda hai. Shabadan vich 'Mera Pir Ghar Aya' parya hoiga.
Eh sab galan sangat nu na dasan karke main Giani Thakur Singh ji to upset hoi si.
Main dasan vich koi haraj nahi samajhdi, kyonki karna ta sabnu apna apna hai. Jis te Guru di kirpa hoigi uh hi kar sakde hai. Bakiyan nu na time milda hai, na hi utshah jagda hai.

Eh youtube video meditation bare hai te bahut ache tarike naal Pranic energy nu dikhanda hai.

Meditation below is copied from the source http://www.mnwelldir.org/docs/qigong/meditation.htm

Next you will picture the heaven energy coming down through the top of your head, neck, shoulders, into your back, down your back, and when it reaches the hands, comes into the palms of your hands (which are face up) and up your arms to your shoulders where it travels down your body to your perineum.
At this point, it continues straight down the ground and down your legs. It finally spills out your feet (about a foot or so) into the ground where it splashes up and through you and out your head where it starts its journey again.

The really tough part of this meditation is to try and picture both energies traveling through you at the same time. Spend five, ten, fifteen minutes picturing this flow of energy through you and about you.

Qigong meditation

Note in the meditation below, the Pranic energy is being called the Heaven energy and Kundalini energy is Earth energy.

Meditation is an exercise that can be both the simplest and the hardest to perform. It is simple in that all you need is yourself. It is the hardest because it requires the discipline to do it. Having a partner really helps; doing meditation with a group makes the experience even easier with the added effect of the creation and exposure to the massive healing energy of the group.

Meditation has been compared to self-hypnosis. Guided meditation is very much related to (some feel it is) hypnosis. There are many tapes or CDs with a myriad of guided meditations, each one created for a specific purpose: quitting smoking, stress relief, building creativity, building intuitive/psychic abilities, praying.

Some feel that meditating is listening to your creator, while praying is talking to your creator.

At a seminar conducted by Deepak Chopra, he described the purpose of meditation is: to slip between the cracks of reality to that place of unlimited possibilities.

In this section, we will teach you a basic meditation, the Qigong Small Universe Meditation, and probably the most healing meditation of Qigong, the Rainbow Meditation, which is used for serious illnesses such as AIDS and Cancer.

The Setting

Quiet is the key. You may choose soft music, which most people like because it does cover up the outdoor noises. There are some wonderful selections to meditate to. Stephen Halpern has created some of the best healing and meditation music available. A lot of people like to use music with subliminal messages, though there is very little evidence that subliminal tapes and CDs do anything beyond make money for the producers.

The current music playing is called "Dreams," written by Margi Harrell. You can visit her and her son's site at http://www.llerrah.com.

Most like to meditate at night. Lighting a single candle to focus on while settling your eyes is a very good technique.

Find a comfortable chair. Your body should be sitting upright, so put something, a pillow, in the small of your back. You can sit on the floor; the lotus position (legs folded over each other) is supposed to produce the highest states, however, if you’re new to this, just crossing your legs is enough. If you are sitting in a chair, both feet must be on the ground. In the Qigong meditations, both feet must be pointed straight ahead. Your tongue is resting against the roof of your mouth, just behind the teeth. Your chin should be pulled back so that your spine is straight. The reason for the "straightness" of this position is to allow a smooth flow of energy. Your hands should rest on your legs, face up.

Breathing is from the tummy. It is called baby breathing. As adults, when we take in a deep breath, our chest expands and our shoulders rise. Watch a baby when it is breathing: its tummy expands, because it is breathing into its tummy. When you breathe in, breathe into your tummy. Let the diaphragm expand downward.

Focus your eyes on a distant point (or on the candle, if you have one), and listen to your breathing. Listening to the breath is the best possible technique to keep focused. Let the stress of the day roll off of you. If something comes into your mind while meditating, don’t scold yourself; just acknowledge it and push it aside. Then focus on your breathing.

Grounding

Though not necessary, this is a particular technique that I and many others employ: connecting oneself to the earth. Picture a chain dangling from your coccyx. It can be any color of your choice. As you begin to relax, focusing on that point in the distance, picture a chain dangling from your coccyx, write your name and date on the chain, and picture it going through the floor of your home, (through the rooms below, if there are any), through the ground, through the water table, and down to the center of the earth. If you are particularly stressed that day, when you breathe out, with each out-breath, picture the stress and negative energy being expelled down that chain to the center of the earth.

Progressive Relaxation

This is a technique used widely by hypnotherapists. You start by focusing on your feet. As you breathe in, feel the energy enter your feet. It is relaxing energy. Then progress up the leg. With each breath, pull healing, relaxing energy into the next higher part of your body, and breathe out the negative, stressful energy. Do this for every part of your body to the top of your head.

You will find after a while, or perhaps right away, that you can actually feel the healing, relaxing energy enter the part you focus on.

While focusing on this process, your eyelids will get heavy, your focus on that distant point will waiver; just let your eyes close and continue on.

The Meditation

Once relaxed, now what do you do? Nothing. This is the purpose of meditation: to go within and simply listen. Again, if something comes into your consciousness, acknowledge it and push it aside. You can think about it later. For now, you are merely concentrating on your breathing and listening to the universe.

The Cleansing Meditation

This meditation fills your body with earth (yin) and heaven (yang) energy. It recharges the two external meridians (not associated with any organ systems) called the Governing Body and the Conception Vessel, both of which hold recharging energy for the organ systems. I've seen this meditation practiced using "grace" instead of "qi." You simply fill each cell in your body with "grace."

When you are ready, relaxed, and focused, picture energy traveling progressively (like the progressive relaxation) up your legs, thighs, hips, etc. Feel and picture the energy recharging, filling the organs; in your mind you can name the parts. As the energy reaches your perineum, that point between your genitalia and your anus, picture it meeting the energy coming straight up from the ground to that point. Continue up and when you reach the shoulders, picture it going down your arms and up out of your hands. When that energy reaches your shoulders, continue up your neck, face, to the top of your head, where like a water sprout, it spills out (a foot or so) above your head then splashes over you and through you back to the earth where it starts the cycle over again.

I finally spills out your feet (about a foot or so) into the ground where it splashes up and through you and out your head where it starts its journey again. The really tough part of this meditation is to try and picture both energies traveling through you at the same time. Spend five, ten, fifteen minutes picturing this flow of energy through you and about you.

The Governing Body and Conception Vessel meet in your mouth. This is why during Qigong, Tai Chi, and our meditations we keep the tongue at the roof of the mouth: to make this connection. Focus on your mouth, and then follow an imaginary line down your chin to your throat, and rest your attention there for a bit, and then to your heart. At each point mentioned, keep your focus there for a small bit before moving on. Next to your diaphragm, then to the Tan Tien (pronounced Dan Tien; just an inch below your navel), then to your perineum. Next to your coccyx, then lower back, mid back, between your shoulders, base of the neck, back of the head, top of the head, forehead, and back to your mouth.

Take your time during this exercise. You’re not in a hurry.

Finally, take a deep breath and spread your hands out to your side (as you do at the end of Spring Forest Qigong), and as you breathe out, bring your hands together gathering energy between them. If you’ve felt this energy during Spring Forest, you will probably feel it now. This is a time to do some specific healing. If you have a part, an organ, something that needs healing, in your mind, take it from its place and put it (with your mind) between your hands, and let it recharge within the energy of the field between your hand. Do this as long as you feel it necessary. Then, before returning that part to its normal place, send healing energy to the area around it, healing the edges, and return it.

When you end your meditation, some like to lean forward with both hands and touch the ground. Sort of a small grounding gesture. Then, as always, you will do a self massage, the minimum being the face, hair, and ears.

The Rainbow Meditation

Color is very healing. Many hospitals have redecorated to avoid the white, sterile, hospital look and feel. Here we will be using the full spectrum of the rainbow for a deep, deep healing.

After you have relaxed, done your progressive relaxation, your eyes are closed and you are focusing on your breathing. Picture a rainbow off in the distance. As you gaze and meditate on the colors of the rainbow it begins to turn. Rainbows don’t turn. We see them only in the "broadside" view. But this rainbow will start to turn. One end will recede away from you while the other approaches you. It gets nearer, and nearer, and nearer. Finally it is resting over you. The energy and color from the rainbow pass through your body (very much like the heaven energy does in the Small Universe Meditation), goes into the ground and comes up at the other end of the rainbow, again flowing into you, passing through you, until this one time when the energy reaches your feet, like the graphic below, it stops at your feet and begins to fill your body with its color and light and healing. Let it slowly fill your body. Up, up, up. When you are full, you cap it off and bask in its energy. Feel the color and light and energy and grace fill every cell in your body, healing every cell in your body. Meditate on this.

The secret to healing is intent. You don’t have to believe anything, but you must be open minded. Open to the unlimited possibilities of the universe. You can block Qigong healing if you want. In fact, you can block the effect of antibiotics if you want. The mind is a wonderful and powerful thing. Be open, be free, and strengthen only your intent.

New revelation about elements and pranic and kundalini energy

I am so thrilled to realize after my short meditation today that Kundalini Energy is Fire / heat while Pranic Energy is Water / cold. The body is Earth that holds all other elements, just like the planet earth. The Soul is Ether and the third eye is the Air? I am not sure about the last two yet.

Now I understand why when anyone starts breath meditation without any theoretical knowledge feels the heat coming out of the feet and possibly hands as well. I didn't know what to do with that heat. Kundalini energy awakens from the feet chakra to the base of the spine but without the knowledge on how to visualize and move the energy up willingly creates a problem until the person works something out.

The point that was made clear to me was that if the body is Earth and Kundalini is hot, your desires are the seeds but they can't grow and realise their potential without the water, the pranic energy from above. I have always believed that awakening the pranic energy is much safer and rewarding. Awakening kundalini without pranic energy is playing with fire and is dangerous.

To activate pranic energy you need to focus on a space one hand above your head and draw it inside you with incoming breath and either let it go back out or expand a specific chakra with the exhalation, whatever works for you. You will feel the sensation on the top of your head on the seventh chakra. If you are lucky, you might feel the raindrops, water flowing down or flooding inside your body. Depending upon the extent of the energy, you might feel heavy vibration as if your whole body is shaking. Believe me, do not be scared, just enjoy as you will be and do not worry about other people seeing you shaking as your physical body is actually not shaking at all. Its your etheric body separating itself from the physical body, which is a great thing.

Once you can access pranic energy, the meditation should involve drawing pranic energy from above and kundalini from below and meeting in the heart chakra. If you can practice this, you are doing great but its still an exercise. The essence of meditation is to cultivate love and gratitude towards God / creator /Universe. Heart centre is the seat of the Golden city of God / Soul. Without love, the gates do not open and all the previous efforts are wasted. If love/gratitude is felt, the pranic energy flow will increase and the seeds will germinate. All your unmentioned desires will start being fulfilled in the next few months, if the magic happended and you experienced something. But do have focus on any desire other that the one to know and meet God. Pretending doesn't help really, you must be a true seeker and believe me this changes from day to day. Some days you are seeking truthfully and other days you are just performing the ritual and doing an exercise you don't get out of practice and lazy. That's Ok too, keep trying and you might succeed one day.

Naam Japat Man Harya Hoi

Remembering God / Meditating, you heart blossoms like the fields become lust green after rain.

Truth behind symbolism and imagery of 'Tree of Knowledge' and 'Original sin'

This morning I had hard time trying to convince fellow Sikh guys how the 'Tree of knowledge and Original Sin' mentioned in the Bible has symoblism and imagery used in it to represent concepts that are not easily understood by people. They have just started reading Bible out of curosity to know more about Christianity.

The concept of serpent who excited the Eve to eat the forbidden fruit is actually symbolic of the Kundalini energy within a person. When the Kundalini energy awakens in the lower two chakras, it awakens sexual feelings. The same energy when enters the higher chakras gives the results coresponding to those chakras. Last year I awakened my Kundalini, so I know that this energy literally makes hissing sound when awakened.

This serpent like kundalini energy created the desire to enjoy the body and took the attention away from God, the creator who was sustaining them with his Love.

When the soul has no desires, it stays in blissful state, connected with God's energy and therefore does not require any physical food. In meditation, one receives the Pranic energy from 'The Great White Light' and it fills the body with joy and bliss. While you are showering in this energy, you don't need any other source of survival like the food.

I am so relieved that other people also realise this truth. In the theory of Kundalini Yoga, as mentioned in the article on "Fall of man' on the site: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fall_Of_Man, about author William Irwin Thompson who attributes the story of the fall to the time when human beings first understood that sex led to pregnancy, and understood what menstruation was. In "The time falling bodies take to light", Thompson theorizes that Eve's kundalini awakened, leading her to understand sexuality and human power and intelligence. In Sanskrit, "kundalini" means "curled up like a serpent"[19] .

The article Tree of Jiva and Atman in wikipedia tries to explain similar concept, "The first bird represents a Jiva, or individual self, or soul. She has a female nature, being a sakti, an energy of God. When the jiva becomes distracted by the fruits (signifying sensual pleasure), she momentarily forgets her lord and lover and tries to enjoy the fruit independently of him. This separating forgetfulness is maha-maya, or enthrallment, spiritual death, and constitutes the fall of the jiva into the world of material birth, death, disease and old age.
The second bird is the Paramatman, an aspect of God who accompanies every living being in the heart while she remains in the material world. He is the support of all beings and is beyond sensual pleasure.
It is significant to note that this concept of Atman and Jiva have been personified and taken into the Bible."

Guru Nanak says that we are all Eve's and there is only one Man - The God. This concept fits in with the above story as it says that Adam / second bird - Parmataman was not tempted by this fruit. The only issue unresolved then is why the story is saying that Man was made from the Soil. Has someone bent the story at some time? The eve was produced from the one bone of the Man, in my opinion stands for Humanbeings being produced from one part of God / The only MAN, going by Guru Nanak's definition of the MAN.

Another important aspect of the story is that after committing the original sin the couple was expelled from the Garden of Eden and were told that they will have to produce their own food by hardwork. So regular people now have to work to eat and survive. But those connected with the God / creator can still sustained without food. This concept is called Amritpan. In meditation, when one places their tongue touching the pallet and observes breathing, and raises energy inside the body from below to above, a honey like nector is produced from the pallet. For as long as you are able to produce this nector and stay in that state, you don't need any food to survive.

The Gurbani lines and translation below about Amrit are taken from the site http://www.gurbani.org/articles/webart325.html

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਸਬਦੁ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਹਰਿ ਬਾਣੀ ॥ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਸੇਵਿਐ ਰਿਦੈ ਸਮਾਣੀ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਪੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਸਭ ਭੁਖ ਲਹਿ ਜਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੮॥੧੫॥੧੬॥: The Shabad is Amrit; the Lord's Bani is Amrit. Serving the True Guru, it (Amrit) permeates the heart. O Nanak! Amrit-Naam is forever the Giver of Peace (ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ); drinking in this Amrit (of Naam - the Lord's Name), all hunger (of Maya) is satisfied. ||8||15||16|| (sggs 119).

: Amrit meethaa sabad veechaar || Anadin bhoge houmai maar ||: Reflective meditation upon the Shabad is Amrit. By subduing his ego, one enjoys it night and day (sggs 424).

: Amrit Naam peevahu mere bhaaee. Simar simar sabh tikhaa bujhaaee ||1||Rahaou||: O brother! Drink in the Amrit Naam (the Name of the Lord). Meditating, meditating (ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰ ਸਿਮਰ ਕੇ, on the Name of the Lord), the fire (of Bikaars) is totally quenched. ||1||Pause|| (sggs 191).

Also, you do not age while in this state.
Gurbani says - Har har Naam Japandyan Kach Na Kahai Jam Kaal

There are stories of Hindu Rishies who lived and meditated in samadhi state for thousands of years. How did they survive without food or the need to empty their bowl for years?

Lord Krishna (Hinduism) compared human body to an upside down tree and Kabbalah (German) philosophy also talks of 'Tree of Life' and Ten Gates. Sikhism also talks of Dasam Dwar, the Tenth Gate. All these concepts are related to the esoteric knowledge of human body.

Guru Granth Sahib provides a lot of hints about the mystical experiences. To understand what the poet is saying, one must either have basic understanding of the concepts of esotericism or better still have had some experiences during menditation. Its almost impossible to understand mystical experiences without having one as they make no logical sense to those who haven't experienced anything similar. No surprise that such people are then considered insane by others.

Some of the lines in the Guru Granth Sahib that most people don't understand the meaning of because of lack of practicing meditation, offcourse in my opinion, are as follows

Ik Vast Agochar Laheai
Sass Ghar Soor
Amrit Piyo Sada Chir Jeyo
Har Amritpan Karo
Nanak Chauthe Pad Mai, So Jan Gat Pahe
Jivan Mukat So Akhiyai, Mar Jevai Mariya
Asa Mahe Niras Valai

Below is a site of books on esoteric knowledge. I haven't read any of these yet. As Gurbani says only a few people know about these concepts - Virle Kine Vichari?
http://www.sacred-texts.com/eso/index.htm

Below are some of the Gurbani lines to ponder

ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਜਿਸੁ ਉਦਰੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਮਾਇਆ ॥: Kahi kabeer jis udar tis Maya:
Says Kabeer, whoever has a belly to fill (need to eat food to survive), is under the spell of Maya [Raajas (Passion), Taamas (Ignorance), and Saatav (Goodness) modes] (sggs 1160).
In short, whatever deludes a person away from his godly status (Joti-Svaroopa, Pure Consciousness etc.) is Maya for him.

ਜਾ ਕੈ ਸਿਮਰਨਿ ਕਵਲਾ ਦਾਸਿ ॥: Jaa kai simaran kavalaa daas:
Meditating on God, Maya becomes one's slave (sggs 986).

Wasn't it the change of focus of consciounesses from staying under the protection of God's Love to focusing on one's desires that made the couple expelled from the Garden of Eden?

Energy tranfer theory and Kundalini / Pranic energy

New Scientist magazine of 6th Feb, 2010 has an article "Hot green quantum computers revealed". It says that "Normal energy tranfer theory tells us that energy hops from molecule to molecule in a random walk, like the path taken home from the bar by a drunken sailor", says Gregory Scholes. But Scholes and his colleagues have found that the energy routeing mechanism may actually be highly efficient. This team excited two of the pigment molecules of Chroomonas antenna, with a brief laser pulse, causing electrons in the molecules to jump into a quantum superposition of excited states. When this superposition collapsed, it emited photons of slightly different wavelengths which combined to form an interference pattern in the emitted light. Has this got anything to do with the purple light etc that we see during meditation? Can this experiment help us reveal why sometimes we see the purple light so easily and other times don't see it at all but can still have other peaceful mesmerizing experiences?

The scientists were surprised to realise that not only the two pigment molecules at the centre of the antenna were involved in the superposition; but also the other six pigment molecules. This "quantum coherence" binds them together for a fleeting 400 fotoseconds. This is long enough for the energy to simultaneously "try out" all possible paths across the antenna. When the shared coherence ends, the energy settles on one path, allowing it to make the journey without loss.

The above para is pointing out to me that all chakras have to be in a relatively balanced state to have a special meditation experience as all of them are involved in the superposition when you are about to enter deep meditation and experience something. Could that be why some people do meditation but never have a special experience?

Is that why Guru Nanak mentioned other criteria as essential requirements to be accepted by the energy to be worthy of receiving it /Mehar. Guru says, "Kirat Karo, Naam Japo, Vand Chako." Earn my honest means, meditate and Share your proceeds with others. The Guru says in several shabads
'Je Tudh Bhave' meaning only if it pleases you, (then my meditation is successful). I wish to take that uncertainty away. It will please him if all chakras are in balance. They will be in balance if we stay away from the five thiefs - Lust, Anger, Greed, Attachment and Ego (Pride in one's own greatness).

The scientists were surprised that the experiment worked at the hot tempreture of 21 degrees and didn't destroy the quantum coherence. I am not interested in the temperature side of the experiment, although I have experienced body temperature change during meditation. I am interested in the fact that quantum superposition allows the energy to explore all possible routes and settle on the most efficient one. The antenna performs a quantum computation to determine the best way to tranfer energy. I am interested in Meditation and how Kundalini Energy decides its path.

The scientists are surprised how these molecules remain coherent for so long with relatively large gaps between them. One scientist believes that antenna's protein structure plays a cruical role. She says, "Coherence would not survive without it."

Another energy theory below is pointing out the 'non-vertical behaviour of energy'. Isn't Kundalini energy's path non-vertical? Triplet energy transfer (TET) from aromatic donors to 1,3,5,7-cyclooctatetraene (COT) is an extreme case of "nonvertical" behavior, where the transfer rate for low-energy donors is considerably faster than that predicted for a thermally activated (Arrhenius) process. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15268245?log$=activity

The important things I have learnt from the above information is as follows
Meditation experiences each session are dependent upon the path energy will find most suitable during that session. Which path will be most suitable will depend upon our actions and thoughts stuck in our head from that days stresses and how many of these we have been able to successfully clear by changing our focus to observing the breath and the body.

Energy is not random. When I meditate without any distractions, my body heats up every time. Initially when I started meditation last year, it started with extreme heating of my feet, then slowly over the months it started heating less and my hands also started heating up. These days I don't feel any discomfort in my feet due to heat but my hands still heat up a little. That means that the heat that is being produced is now more equally distributed throughout the body, as I do feel it. Therefore, as we progress in meditation, more of these energy points open up / clear and become more receptive to the energy. The question here is that does the energy still has to settle on one path to provide a special memorable experience?

The issue of protein structures having a big role is pointing to my diet. I know I have a poor vegetarian diet.

"Protein is found in many vegetable sources. Some of these vegetable proteins are complete in that they contain all the essential amino acids just like animal protein. Others are incomplete and must be combined together to produce a complete protein that the body can use.

Nuts and seeds are an under appreciated source of protein. Soya beans are source of complete protein. Beans, peas and lentils, known collectively as pulse, make up one of the major sources of protein for a vegetarian. They are incomplete proteins and must be combined with other incomplete proteins, such as grains, or complete proteins, such as eggs or milk, to make a complete protein food. Usually this is done in one dish such as beans and rice or beans on toast, but this is not always necessary as the body can store protein and combine it later." Eye-heart awareness

Samuel Sagan suggests in his book "Awakening the third eye" to develop eye heart awareness after two years of practice developing the third eye awareness, p.147. Guru Nanak Dev ji only ever talks of the feeling of love in the heart. Since I hadn't read this page of the book, I didn't know, I shouldn't do it yet. When I started seeing the colour purple in the eye first time, I enhanced the awareness in the heart to improve the vision of colour purple. It responds in proportion to the feeling of yearning. For this reason, I recommend to do meditation while the three day reading of scriptures, Akhand Path, is happening in the Gurdwara. Lines of Guru Bani that are being read helps you focus on the heart and feeling of yearning, as most of the shabads have yearning as the central idea. As soon as the mind wanders it is brought back to focus by gurbani.

Some time ago, I use to wonder if reading gurbani was a waste of time as it is asking the reader to meditate 24 hours a day and yet people just read it over and over again and don't do the very act of meditation and defeating the purpose of the writing. Now I read the Guru Granth Sahib Ji's bani when I lack the drive to meditate or have the desire but simply can't do it. I realise that the purpose of the shabads are to encourage the reader to meditate, develop the yearning to do so by praying to Waherguru to give you Nam, developing the feeling of love for God and guiding the reader as to what to do and what to avoid in life. Only a very few shabads describe, or give hints of what happened during or as a result of a meditation session. I am trying to find every such shabad. So I was particularly focusing on Shabads of Guru Nanak dev ji, Guru Arjan Den ji and Kabir ji. I didn't realise before that there are other Guru's that have also given a hint of that in their shabads.

Gurbani is written mostly in a simple language but its only after doing meditation that you seem to realise a different meaning of the words said in it. For example, Gurbani has several shabads that talk about Waheguru as Rang rangla, colourful. We always take this as philosopical concept that this world, his creation is colourful. I never knew this refers to the experience of the meditator who has seen several colours during meditation and felt that feeling of peace and joy never found anywhere else with any other object in the world. The feeling of yearning comes automatically after you fall in love with these beautiful colours that give you joy and you want more and more. Thus comes the need to see it again and again. Hence, the shabads like 'Fir Kad miliye mere pyare', when can I see you again. But colours are only a very first hint that meditation is not just time-out from this world for a few minutes. Its a journey with very real results. As you go deeper and deeper, you will see your Guru's, or other figures unknown to you who will show you the path ahead. Then you will see figures shown in the Sacred Geometry. Google the words "Sacred Geometry" and you will find out all about it. These figures are very real and manifest themselves to you. Since I didn't know anything about it, I simply enjoyed the session. The big mistake I made was to refuse the power of healing others that it was giving to me. A green light came from the temples, the area near the eyes on the edges of the forhead, and made an arch from outside my body and upto my hands that were laying on my knees, palms facing upwards. I enjoyed it and then said that I don't want to become a healer. I just want to see and know God Waheguru. I now realise that God never offers more than what you can handle. It was my fear that stopped me. I have a theory on why Baal Guru Har Krishan Sahib ji died of disease when he was the one who relieved so many from their diseases. If you read a book on Pranic energy by Choa Koh Sui, its mentioned in there that always give out less pranic energy than what you receive and also to do some clensing thing to get rid of the residue of the energy of sickness. Reiki must be a much safer way of healing as the healer doesn't have to worry about these issues as the healer doesn't control the amount of the energy going into the patients body or the area in which the energy is going.

I know realise that I had very big urge to heal my son of his Down Syndrome and more importantly his diabetes. Although, I never realised that my body and feelings were projecting that. Therefore, as a response I was being given the healing power that I thought I needed so much. When I refused it, I didn't remember I had a son who needed healing. I simply felt that I don't have sufficient knowledge or understanding to even contemplate interfering with Gods business.
