Is it a crime to use magic in real life?

With deep meditation come the magical powers. These powers are revealed even when you were not trying to discover them. Just because something has been discovered, does that mean we should use it ? It's the same ethical question that should be asked about physical explorations of land, medicine, astronomy, mining etc.

Meditation is very similar to physical exploration if land but instead we search within our own body, how it interacts with the sound waves we make and the breath we inhale and exhale. It's a vast world inside, unexplored as far as most people are concerned as they haven't a clue of how many precious jewels are hidden there.

Secrecy about scientific discoveries that can be used as war weapons is seen as essential by the governments. So it's only fair that the spiritual powers that are the result of meditation should also be secret; for you don't know what one might use it for or force someone to use.

It's sad that USA has been exploring spiritual powers to be used as military weapons, if it's true. It's said that they have been doing this since Second World War. This is a dangerous act.

Spiritual powers must never be mixed with military combats. The very purpose of spiritual life is for the good of all because God is one and is within all beings. The military combats however exist because of the opposing view that one must hurt / destroy the other.

Personal use of spiritual powers should also be guided by the same philosophy. Is the use of power for  Wellbeing or destruction of the other? Stealing another's energy is also a crime worse than stealing a physical object because a physical object may not pose a direct threat to one's health whereas the stealing of energy does.

So was the burning of witches in the 16th century Europe justified? The straight answer is no. But the ethical question is were the witches actually diminishing peoples Wellbeing?

Valmiki's epic story of Ramayana, about Ram and Ravan also reveals that the use of spiritual powers in daily life was on in that time. The stories of  Merlin, weather he was a fictitious character or not, portray use of magical powers in daily life.

Doing justice becomes even tougher when magic is involved. So is it best that the average population be kept blind about what is there to explore within themselves? I am afraid that it only takes one naughty child to start a fire in a tall building and thousands to control the irreversible damage.

So, secrecy is the safest but saddest option because there is so much peace and bliss to be found in the world of spirituality that we try to seek by consuming more and more commercial products and services. Only if we knew that the pleasures of collecting monetary wealth and enjoying its benefits are nothing compared to the benefits gained by engaging in spiritual life.

May be the actual cause of grief in human life is because of our nature of showing off our possessions , materIal and otherwise. If we start sharing what we know and possess without the intent and need to show off

A fine line - Spirituality and Magic

The techniques of meditation are the same but the ultimate focus and result of the two is very different. Spirituality seeks light from the universal source and magicians steel light from other living beings and thus break their own connection with the ultimate source of light. Magicians are forever starved of the light and need a new target to get more light from thus depleting other people's light. Why not follow the spiritual path and benefit yourself and others? The ultimate source / God never runs our of light where as any other source eventually will.

Just read the book CoverPsychic dreamwalking : explorations at the edge of self / Michelle Belanger.

In this book, the author has confessed how she is an energy vampire and needs other peoples energy. Clearly, psychic dreamwalking is trying to alter the world according to one's wishes and not in line with the Hukum / God's Will which is a necessary condition if you are seeking energy from the ultimate source / God.

Chapter 9 of this book was important for me to understand as I had experienced Psychic attack and didn't know that this concept exists. This made me learn about shielding and protection. One rule of the universe is that you must ask for it before you can receive. So I wasn't going to receive protection automatically, jus cos I do mediation. At the start of each meditation I now pray for protection from any harmful energies. Simply say  this and feel that your intent has been heard and you are now protected. Magicians also work with intent but the problem with their intent is that it looks after their personal interest or the interest of their client and not of the other parties. Whereas the spiritual person seeks everyone's benefit and goodwill - "Sarbat Da Bhala".

Seek and you shall find

Whatever you devote your time and attention to, that's what you will become expert at. I was chatting with a singer / composer. He commented that whenever he has composed a great shabad is when he has been playing with his instrument for a couple of hours and then suddenly or should I say accidentally a tune will come in mind. I can relate to this. This has happened to me as well, in music as well as in understanding Gurbani (Sikh scriptures). So life is not about speculating if you will get this or that. Its about deciding what you want and devoting time to it.

Since I was in primary school, I have been listening to old Hindi Bollywood movie songs - classical Raaga based - songs, bhajans and qawalis. I use to spend hours listening to these songs repeatedly. My interest changed and from last couple of years I read Guru Granth Sahib shabads with great interest as I realised that the meanings of those shabads are not as simple as I though or sometimes too literal rather than philosophical, as mistakenly explained and translated in the sources. Great understanding comes when I suddenly stumble upon a line and understand the true intention of the writer in that shabad. Then I feel so sorry that even people like ragas and granthis don't understand the very scriptures they are suppose to be expert at.

The real understanding can only come if you immerse yourself in meditation. Once you start to have some experiences in meditation and generate the 24 /7 urgency to know more about and meet God than simply fulfil your duty of reading daily prayer etc, you have upgraded your mentality from just passing exams to actually knowing the truth. If you are seeking truth about God / the creator, you will be sincere in your meditation as well as in reading the gurbani. Some shabads in gurbani are related to meditation experiences and those shabads can't be understood until you have started your own meditation and started having experiences. So if you are a true seeker, do meditate and then read any scriptures.

Strangely enough, I forced myself to listen to some of the famous old hindi songs that I use to immerse myself in, they are great tunes, great words and I loved them again but listening first time after years didn't automatically gave me the same pleasure that I use to get when I heard them everyday. The feeling that use to be inside and the energy vibration as each instrument vibrated within a composition, that rhythmic pleasure can only come, if you truly immerse yourself into something, not like when I was listening to them superficially, to give some good songs to a particular person to listen. How true is it for spirituality as well.

One must ask themselves, why I go to a religious place?
To seek the the real truth for myself,
To promote my religion as the best / better than other religions
To show others that I am devoted (assuming that religious people are better than less devoted ones) , or
To do Sunday socialising activity?

Do you immerse yourself in deeper listening to seek the truth and have real understanding? . Give it a thought and please leave your comments

Mental consciousness is blind and gazing at stars helps connect us to spirituality

If you are interested in seeing auras and spiritual beings "the usual mental consciousness is precisely that part of yourself which is blind blind to spiritual worlds. To start seeing, the first thing to do is step out of the mind.", says Samuel Sagan on p.67 of ebook 'Opening the 3rd eye'. In order to become
able to see auras and spiritual beings, it is necessary to switch off this mental mode of vision. http://www.clairvision.org/ckb/ckbe/ckbl/fol_0000_0001/cat_0000_0001/SaganATE.pdf

Gurbani also says, "Mayadhari Anna Bola" translated 'the average man engulfed in making money is blind and deaf'. Its clear from Samuel's comment that the phrase from gurbani is referring to the mental consciousness.

Samuel says that gazing at stars is "an enlightening practice that fills the soul." I can't agree with him more. When we were little, we lived in India and use to sleep outside under the star. This was the time when we never had an argument with siblings. It was the most peaceful time I use to look forward to. Just gazing at the stars and pointing them out to each other. Gazing at stars helped me connect with nature and myself. I wish I could do the same with my children. TV has taken away this time from our children. Its not every summer night practice anymore. Gazing at stars helped me connect with nature and myself.

Heart energy verses brain energy- hurdles in meditation

Fact: Heart generates electrical energy 40-60 times more powerful than your brain.

Hurdles in meditation - Negativity/Fears

How can I let go the negativitis?
If you are upset with a relative/friend/enemy, forgive them otherwise that feeling will stop you from going ahead with meditational experiences.

How can I overcome fears?
Believe in a higher energy looking after you. Trust in that creator to do justice.

Also be afraid that if you don't forgive others, the justice system within you will stop you from entering the higher realms of reality, for the matter must be resolved and the chain linking you with that person must be broken to let you proceed. So let go of the negativity now as possessive love and hate are both chains, in fact part of the same chain. Its the brain that justifies your love and hate for someone.

Meditation technique

Meditation is less to do with the knowledge of techniques and more to do with the commitment.

Meditate without thoughts in your brain interrupting you. At the same time feel the heart expand with each inhalation, feel the love for the creator. Every time a thought enter the mind, start chanting and concentrate on listening to the sound/word. Feel your breath going in and out.

Expand your body with the inhalation of breath as much as you can and try to contract the body to the extent of a dot point with each exhalation. There will be no room for thought, only feeling the breath. Soon the breath will become shallow. Let the process takeover. Let go, don't control anything.
