Celebrating festival of lights / Diwali with emphasis on Spiritual Light

Guru says "Mun Tun Jote Sarup Hai,
Apna Mool Pachan"

Oh mind, you are an image of light,
realise your true source.

By simply searching the word meditation on the internet, one comes to realise that there are groups in every religion and every culture that talk of exactly the same god source and seek the same light that Sikh Gurus spoke about. Its another thing that some are more open about sharing their knowledge and techniques than others.

Sadly, Sikhs have grossly misunderstood their own Gurus straight message on the light within that one sees when he/ she does meditation. Sikhs try to give it a more philosophical approach when in reality the gurus are trying to explain the light as they saw it.

Jote means light. Rang means colour. One can do a simple search for the two words separately in the "Sikhi to the Max" program which gives the original words of the guru with english transliteration and translation (Occasionally misinterpreted).
